Fortune 500 Computer Company

Founded in 1984, Dell Inc. develops, manufactures, sells and supports personal computers and other computer-related products. In 2006, Fortune magazine ranked Dell than 25 largest company in the Fortune 500 list. Like every other company is obliged to Dell the greenest technology company in the world. Through the development of energy efficient products Dell has demonstrated responsible manufacturing. But what does Dell stand apart from itsCompetitors is the recycling efforts.

Dell has been a recycling leader in 2006, offered its customers a free recycling of their products around the world! He led his first recycling service in Australia and New Zealand in 2004. Dell's customers in Australia has contributed to the reuse and recycling of more than 800 tonnes of computer equipment. After 2006, Australian Bureau of Statistics figures, Australians bought 2.4 million new computers. With the intelligent recycling,Dell has managed to up to 98 percent recycling of IT products!

It all began when Dell laptops caught fire in 2005, and it took a full recall of 35,000 batteries with Latitude, Inspiron and Precision notebooks sold in December 2005. The company announced a free recycling of Dell branded new and old products. He also accepted the other brands in exchange for a purchase from Dell. It ran two community recycling events in Sydney andBrisbane, hauling nearly 20 tons of used devices such as monitors, desktop PCs, printers and notebook computers and later moved to other cities like Melbourne and Wellington. These efforts in Australia helped restore Dell's image in a big way. From 2008 she won second place in computer sales in the industry.
